Wellbeing Wednesday: 6 Ways to Share the Love of Writing

Remember how yesterday we were talking about writing and how you can make writing really special.

Remember this picture...

Well today we are talking about sharing the love of writing.

Making someone feel better about themselves often makes you feel better too. Don't you find? Happiness is contagious - it's been proved! (The British Medical Journal says so here, but's it's rather a technical and scientific piece of writing).

So I wanted to share 6 ways to share the love of writing.

1. Write a love letter

2. Write a note to a friend telling them why they are such a good friend

3. Write a short letter to a parent or child telling them why you are grateful to have them in your life

4. Write out an inspirational quote and put it somewhere you can see it everyday

5. Write a label for your favourite drink, maybe 'good morning' on your coffee jar or 'sweet dreams' on some cocoa

6. If you don't want to do something for people around you, why not try cheering up a stranger? Put a note in a library book, or in a book in a charity shop or leave a 'great parking' note on a car windscreen.

Whichever you pick.

Write something.

Make someone smile.

It's very easy and quick, but you'll be amazed at the difference it makes.

I'm going to write a quick note to my son and put it on his pillow. It's just going to say, 'Thank you for being you, love Mum'.

Thanks for reading,

Kirsty
